== Ship Sniping ==
Ship sniping is not exactly a solo combat tactic. It falls as a fleet support role, destroying ships from long range with impunity.

In order to "snipe" effectivly, your ship should be a [[Battleship|battleship]] or larger class ship.
Large guns and cruise [[Missiles|missiles]] are the most effective way to snipe, as they are the most powerful and have the longest ranges for anything smaller then a [[Dreadnought|dreadnought]]. 1400mm Gallium Cannon I is one of the more effective t1 projectile weapons, and outfitting your ship with several modifactions to impove falloff and optimal range can effectivly make it a superb weapon for sniping, and a combined strength of several guns can destroy most ships in one volley.

Cruise [[Missiles|missiles]] are very effective as well, but at the cost of rate of fire and what targets you can hit easily. These are more effective for destroying enemy buildings and structures.

Combining skills, hardwiring, modifactions, ammo types, and weapon types can make your ship into a powerful fleet support tool capable of destroying preoccupied enemy ships with impunity.
