Introduction

JuBa Corp (or JubaCorp as it is also known) is one of the older corporations in the universe of EVE Online. Started by Tado and Ally back in December of the year 105 EST (2003), JuBa Corp has since grown out to employ approximatly 130-140 pilots at any given time. JuBa Corp has it's company headquarters in Nausschie, while maintaining a strong presence in the southern parts of the known universe.

Early years

Started in December of 2003 by Tado and Ally, JuBa Corp was initially founded to be a home to a select group of friends interested in the industrial side of life. After 2 months of basic mineral production and basic combat training, Tado decided it was time for JuBa Corp to find a new home, so, after 2 months, JuBa Corp moved to the Maire solarsystem, which is located in the Solitude region. Maire, along with the rest of Solitude, proved to be a rich and fertile ground for corporations such as JuBa Corp to grow and prosper in relative peace, even though Solitude is only reachable either by traveling through Syndicate, or taking the long route which passes through Aridia, and as a result, within the next 4 months, JuBa Corp more than doubled it's member base. It was during this time of expansion that the foundation of JuBa Corp was forged through friendship and trust.

In the beginning of 2004 JuBa Corp became involved in the Solitude Empire (SE), with Mafia and the Octavian Vanguard being two of the more notable corporations in this alliance. The SE was formed to provide some blanket protection for the participating corporations, so that the production of minerals, ships and modules could continue in relative peace, as well as stimulating trade between corporations and the market in the region. Eventually the SE broke down due to a disagreement between it's leaders. Skywalker (CEO of Mafia) and Tar Om (CEO of the Octavian Vanguard) were trying to push all the participating corporations into fighting the pirates living in the Y9G-KS system at that time, as that system was rich in the valuable Crokite ore. JuBa Corp didn't see all the opportunities and benefits Skywalker and Tar Om were mentioning and after some more disagreements JuBa Corp and some of the other participating corporations decided to leave the SE. A few weeks after this time, the SE collapsed completely.

Soon after, JuBa Corp was asked to join a new alliance in Solitude called The Coalition, which eventually became better known as the New Solitude Empire (NSE). JuBa Corp accepted and again things started out smoothly. One day, news reached the NSE that a Mafia fleet was on it's way to Y9K-KS to attack the NSE members present in that system. The NSE quickly gathered a fleet of it's own and sent it into Y9G-KS, and eventually combat ensued between the NSE and Mafia. During this fight, while holding Mafia's ships 'ransom' by taking them far into structure, Tado started a conversation with Skywalker (CEO of Mafia) and told him that they should not try this again, or face the consequences. 24 hours later JuBa Corp and two other corporations that had pilots present during the Y9G-KS battle recieved a declaration of war from Mafia.

The war with Mafia never really did escalate, as the Mafia members were mostly prevented from entering the relatively higher security rated systems of Solitude. Kills were made on both sides, the most notable being the killing and podding of Skywalker's alternate persona. Around this time JuBa Corp gets contacted by an old friend, who by then is the CEO of a well known PVP corporation, and is asked to join his forming alliance. JuBa Corp declines, but does mention that if this friend is still looking for targets, they can be found in Y9G-KS in the form of Mafia. A few days later Mafia retracts the war against JuBa Corp, but keeps the wars active against the other two corporations. This sparks a fierce discussion between the other corporations in the NSE, among other things accusing JuBa Corp of paying off Mafia to drop the war. This eventually leads to the downfall of the NSE, with most of the NSE corporations leaving Solitude for good.

After the Mafia war, JuBa Corp picks up where it had left off before the war. Production is on the rise again, and JuBa Corp gains a lot of new members, eventually growing out to become the largest corporation in the Solitude region. With the growth in numbers also came the growth of force we could display.

Then one day Tado, Ally and a few others announce they will be leaving JuBa Corp and join another corporation called The Smite Brotherhood. After some internal discussion, Illm is appointed the new CEO of JuBa Corp by Tado, with Eugen Apreotesei becoming the new CoCEO. With a new management in place, JuBa Corp quickly picks up the pace and recruits a lot of new members. 2 months later, some of the members that left for The Smite Brotherhood rejoin the corp.

In the fall of 2004, JuBa Corp once again finds itself at war, this time with Clarity of Purpose [CoP], and most notably, Burn Eden. After some skirmishes, the force of the wars pick up, with JuBa Corp defending itself with honour and a fierceness the opposing forces did not expect. This leads to the historical quote "I thought you guys were miners.", made by a member of Burn Eden during the war in appreciation and respect of our fierce defences. Eventually both wars get dropped, with JuBa Corp having suffered multiple Battleship losses, but overall having done pretty well.

In December of 2004, JuBa Corp celebrates it's first year of operations, and is declared upon by Clankillers [206] a few days into the new year. Again, JuBa Corp puts up a serious fight against our new agitator, and about 20 days later, Clankillers retracts the war. On the same day, Ryushe is elected as CoCEO of JuBa Corp, as Eugen Apreotesei has decided to lay down his functions for an extended break. The day after, JuBa Corp is declared upon by Armoured Assassins [ASS], with two other friendly corporations being declared upon a day later. While JuBa Corp deals serious blows to ASS, we find out there is a connection between ASS and another local corporation called Abandoned Dreams. Where ASS is a PVP corporation, Abandoned Dreams seems to be either an alt corporation or a hired corporation trying to resupply ASS with new ships and modules, as well as mining Ice for the ASS POS in Y9K-KS. In an attempt to end the war, JuBa Corp thus declares on Abandoned Dreams, shooting down their barges and miners as a result. Soon after, ASS drops the war on JuBa Corp.

In the next few months, not much changes for JuBa Corp. New members come and go, and in the meantime JuBa Corp sets up it's first POS. Still being industrialists at heart, JuBa Corp really steps up the production of modules and ships, becoming once again one of the industrial powerhouses in the Solitude region. Meanwhile, there is talk of finally joining an official alliance, mostly due to wanting more access to lower security rated space, and the possibilities of mining high end ores. So, in the summer of 2005, JuBa Corp joins the Fountain Alliance but eventually leaves the FA again after having been in the FA for a little over a month, due to more and more obvious signs the FA is about to collapse.

Return to Solitude

Having become disillusioned with alliances by the whole FA affair, JuBa Corp returned to it's true home in Solitude. Some things had changed during our absence, with some new corporations coming into the region, but once again the force of Juba's mining power is unstoppable. Having tasted daily combat in FA did however spark more and more of an interest in getting more combat, and as a result, JuBa Corp launches it's first POS in Syndicate, which among other things has providing a safe haven in 0.0 space as a main function.

Maintaining a presence in Syndicate obviously attracted unwanted attention, but also showed the other denizens of Solitude that we were here to stay once more, and were not afraid to fight for it. A Non-Agression Pact (called NAP Solitude for lack of a better name) was formed by Polish Task Forces [PTF], which along with two other corporations in the neighbourhood, Morning Star Industries and Warlords, we joined. This was done to be able to get sizeable forces togther to get some decent combat in Syndicate. It was at this time our long time friends from Armoured Assassins declared war on us again, as well as on Morning Star Industries and on Warlords, only this time they brought more friends flying under the flag of Freeks Corp. Freeks demanded that we stop flying alongside PTF, who used to be good friends of JuBa, but which was something we didn't do to start with, and disband the NAP. ASS just stayed on the background, trying to shoot us whenever we showed ourselves in Syndicate. A few days pass, and then the three corporations got another war declaration from Legi0n [MMIV], thus bringing the total war count up to three. At this point, Freeks contacted us again and issued a new set of demands for us to abide by in order for them to stop the war, which basically were the same demands they made before, but this time with a few outrageous additions, such as demanding we no longer travel through Y9G-KS no matter what. We friendly, but forcefully told them we wouldn't accept those terms. Some more days pass, and then for some reason, the war with Freeks was invalidated by Concord due to Freeks violating the rules as outlined in the Yulai Convention, bringing the total war count back to two corporations. However, on the same day we got yet another declaration of war, this time from Contraband Inc. [CONIN], bringing the total back to three. If there is one thing these combined forces managed to accomplish in the end, it was making the corporations in Solitude unite as never before. After a few weeks of heated combat, ASS, Legi0n and CONIN retracted or dropped their wars.

Thus, after several months of combat and then living with a pirate threath in the region, we proposed to selected other corporations in the area that we form an official alliance to rid ourselves of these senseless wars. As a result, and after some lengthy discussions, JuBa Corp started The Core Collective (TCC) Alliance along with Phoenix Knights, Warlords, Starone Industries, Emergent Chaos, Spaceballs II, The Foundation of Free Traders and The Obsidian Phoenix Empire. Meanwhile, our relation with one of Solitude's long time denizens and former friends turned worse and worse, and turned to outright hostilities in lowsec space when Polish Task Forces split up.

The Core Collective

One of the main reasons for starting The Core Collective, and also one of the main principles it operated under, was to provide blanket protection to corporations in Solitude against 'grief' war declarations from pirate corporations. We figured that as a single corporation, the war declaration fee paid to Concord was insignificant, however declaring war against an alliance bumped up those costs considerably and as such hopefully would work as a deterrent, especially if a war declaration is already active. Nonetheless, after a short time of open hostilities in Syndicate between TCC and on the other side Bermuda Syndrome (a split off part of PTF), Geeklab, Team Americas, Clankillers and Guns'n'Roses, war was declared by the newly formed Black Reign Syndicate alliance (consisting in part of the above corporations) against TCC. One of the reasons they gave us, so far as a reason is neccessary for a war, was that we were doing the 10/10 complex located in UTKS-5, and that we should stop doing it. It was then that we as TCC decided to leave Solitude, and start living out of UTKS-5 and A-ZLHX, to try and take the fight to the enemy.

However, a new force was building up in Syndicate at that time. Goonfleet was showing more and more interest in the area, and were apparently pretty hostile against anything moving around in Syndicate, giving us a new enemy in the region. Diplomatic talks commenced, and eventually the Goons and TCC reached their own NAP

During our time living out in Syndicate, the war with BRS grew pretty intense at times. After seeing the Goons grow in strength, at that time still operating under the Omega Security Syndicate alliance flag, and seeing the Third Front Alliance [3FA] coming down our way to shoot down BRS and Gallente Kombinat (who were aligning themselves with BRS for some reason), we began to regain some hope of holding our ground. With the stations in Syndicate all under Empire control, they couldn't take 'our' stations, but they did give us a hard time. This standoff lasted for about 2 months, at which point the Goons, who we had been flying with for some time now, came to us out of no where with an offer we couldn't refuse. They offered TCC a system near their homesystem at that time, located at S-U8A4, albeit for a fee, but laden with crokite and the promise of support and protection against BRS. The offer was much discussed internally within TCC, but eventually TCC packed it's bags and moved to DP34-U.

Being relatively safe from BRS and finally being able as an alliance to make some cash, the crokite belts and rats in DP34-U provided everyone with some much needed diversion from the war. Our average number of pilots online went considerably up, and members of corporations in TCC showed up in DP which no one had ever seen before. However, our time in DP34-U was to be shortlived, as after 2 months the Goonfleet leadership suddenly forced us into moving again, this time to Y9G-KS. The TCC council was very divided over this, but we realized that we had little choice. Apparently the Goons needed 'our' system for their new members, and thought they could keep us happy by offering us Y9G-KS as a substitute for DP34-U. The Goons then promised that they and 3FA would be providing support to combat all unfriendlies in the region, and after some very long and heated discussions the TCC council agreed to move to Y9G-KS. Thus, we lived there for a bit over a month. In this time, everything we had built up with TCC and within JuBa Corp itself broke down again. A lot of pilots didn't show up, or moved back into Solitude, as that was only a jump away. It was then that JuBa Corp decided to leave TCC, as there was just too much internal discussion and mistrust going on to keep it together. So, after starting up and leading TCC for a bit over 6 months, JuBa packed its bags once more and departed the Syndicate and Solitude area for good. The Core Collective stayed behind and was from that time on led by Icknay Qapmoc of The Foundation of Free Traders.

JuBa Corp: The Second Coming

After facing yet another 'failure' with an alliance, and wanting to start over for good this time, JuBa Corp decided it would be best if we moved out of the Solitude/Syndicate region once and for all. As all of our members where too used to 0.0 space by then, moving back into Solitude, or any higher security rated space for that matter, was out of the question. A search began for a new home, one which would once again provide us with a good mix of combat, high end ores and decent rats to kill. As a start, we moved the whole corp and all it's assets to Covryn, which is a 0.4 rated system on the fringes of Empire space. We then moved to another system on the fringes of Empire space in the south. It was during our time there that a deal was forged between a big alliance in the south and JuBa Corp, which would allow us to once again regain a decent system with high end ores, and make new powerfull friends. Once all our assets were extracted from Solitude, and moved to the new system in the south, our trek to our new home started.

Veritas Immortalis

As the deal was brokered with the Veritas Immortalis [-V-] alliance, in the year of 108 EST (2006), JuBa eventually settled down in the Q4C-S5 system in the Scalding Pass region. This new home system had an abundance of high end ores, the rats were good and the new PVP opportunities were excellent. Best of all, they were not an official part of -V-, regaining our independence. With the Red Alliance [RA] nearby, and a strong coalition dedicated to eradicate the RA threat, the system was relatively secure from hostile incursions, leaving them free to roam around in combined Coalition gangs hunting down Red Alliance members. Sadly, (inter)alliance communications made sure the Coalition broke apart, with several friendly alliances turning coat and changing their loyalties to the new powerhouse in the south. With the Red Alliance and its allies (most notably the Goonswarm alliance) making good use of the problems the Coalition was facing, -V- was defeated and forced out of their home systems. This meant the end of JuBa's deal with -V-, and with them obviously unwilling to make a deal with RA or Goonswarm, they got the offer from the Lotka Volterra [-LV-] alliance to move to their space.

Lotka Volterra

Initially, JuBa's deal with Lotka Volterra was even better than the deal they had with Veritas Immortalis. -LV- had been impressed by their willingness as a smaller, independent corp to join in on all the major battles fought during their time in -V- space, and realized they could be a useful asset for them. So, after a hurried evacuation out of -V- space, they settled in -LV- controlled space. However, the new Coalition of the South, consisting by then of the Red Alliance, Goonswarm, Knights of the Southern Cross, Tau Ceti Federation and the Curse Alliance, had tasted victory against -V- and wanted more. So in due course, the Coalition of the South started its campaign against -LV-. This resulted in a lot of heated battles between -LV- and its allies and the RAGoons, as the new coalition was called. The great siege of JV1V-O resulted in the destruction of one of -LV-'s major POS, which was in the process of manufacturing a Titan. The unfinished Titan was lost, and with RAGoon swarming all over, -LV- decided to pull back its forces and regroup.

All this in the end led to JuBa joining the Lotka Volterra alliance, as it became unpractical for them to remain an independant corporation in the middle of a warzone.

Today

JuBa Corp is no longer active.
