Ammatar Mandate

Lyra North-Onren is a capsuleer from the Ammatar Mandate, the CEO of the Sha'ha'dem Explorers, and a Co-Executrix of the Amarr loyalist alliance Khimi Harar.

Early Life

Lyra was born on YC 93.6.23 to Serafina North and Farder Onren in the city of Rosecliff on Tanoo II. From an early age, Lyra traveled all around the San Matar constellation due to Farder's job as a trader. Although they had a modest home on Tanoo II, all the traveling meant that the family often spent months at a time living out of a Bestower. During her months of travel, Lyra would often have to do all of her schoolwork for the period of time with little guidance which resulted in Lyra often doing somewhat poorly in school. Lyra would often help her father with work, doing a fair amount of light physical labor as a kid. Other than the inherent difficulties of the family's lifestyle, Lyra's early life was relatively uneventful until YC110.

Elder Fleet invasion

In YC110 the Minmatar Republic launched a surprise invasion on the Amarr Empire and Ammatar Mandate. As the Elder Fleet, as it was called, rampaged throughout the Mandate, Lyra's family's Bestower was destroyed, killing her parents. Republic forces recovered the badly-hurt 17-year old Lyra from the wreckage and brought her to the Republic. After Lyra was given medical attention and recovered from her injuries, the young woman was left alone and broke on an unfamiliar world, Trytedald III.

Time in the Republic

Lyra spent four years stuck in the Republic after she was abducted and dropped off on Trytedald III. She lived in the Stoneden Refugee camp, which was mostly populated with former slaves from the Mandate who were rescued during the Elder Fleet invasion. She was able to hide her identity as a commoner from the Mandate for the time she spent from most of the other refugees, but not from the staff. She regularly did odd jobs to earn small amounts of money so she could at least eat. The first thing she did however was begin working towards trying to enter the capsuleer program at the Republic University, which the camp offered scholarships to attend, as she saw it as her best chance to escape. She eventually did get in and make it through the program, as she was indeed capsule-compatible and after procuring her first ship from the University, she immediately booked it to the Amarr Empire.

Life as a capsuleer

Lyra made it safely to the Empire as a brand new capsuleer and was desperate for employment in order to sever all ties to the Republic University and she was able to quickly find an free position with the Sha'ha'dem Explorers, a fairly new corporation founded by Arsia Elkin. Lyra's new boss allotted her time to become accustomed to being a capsuleer, helping Lyra get in contact with Imperial Academy career agents in Chaven. Lyra spent some time in Chaven getting her bearings as a capsuleer before joining Arsia in Gosalav where her initial tasks usually put her in a Bestower of her own, doing logistics work for the young corporation. Afterwards, Lyra accompanied Arsia into a series of expeditions into Providence. The pair used Harbingers to fight the local pirates. The expeditions were short lived, as the group added some members and moved to low security Kador space on the other side of the Empire.

Incursions into Anoikis

As the Sha'ha'dem grew a little in size in their new low security home, the corporation started day-tripping into lower class wormhole systems. Lyra was usually tasked with leading a task force of three individuals, herself as well as Vokhan and Meer Alvheim, to enter the wormholes and quickly clear any Sleeper outposts, making off with the salvage from the sleeper ships. The entry holes were generally guarded by Arsia. The four would cycle around their little constellation looking for lower class wormholes often and had very few losses to local pirates with none inside the holes themselves.
