The Alternate Brain Link (Alt) was an implant created by an unknown corporation to be used by the general public. It's function was simple. It allowed one individual to to control two bodies using one mind.
To do so they would need their original body and one extra body, without a mind or "soul". Both bodies would be given the implant, the primary body with the owners soul being given the Alpha implant, and the secondary body being given the Omega implant.
Through some training, the individual could control two bodies with almost as much ease as they would one.
Unfortunatly, there was a minor setback. The two bodies had to have the exact same neural interface for the implant to work. To do so, an exact copy of the brains neural mappings had to be made. This operation was only available to the extrmely wealthy and the capsuleers. Due to this setback, the implant is expensive to obtain and became nearly unobtainable to the general public.
The implant can normally be seen in use by the capsuleer community and a few wealthy individuals.
