Eye Of God History

Eye of God (EOG) is one of the older corporations in Eve online. EOG was founded only a few months after Eve-Online went retail. The original members of EOG came from the space-based MMOG Mankind.

The first 0.0 experience for EOG was in Curse. From there we moved to the Outer Ring on the opposite side of the universe, EOG was the founding member of NORAD Alliance (before alliances were official entities in Eve).

After a short break in Empire and reclaiming our resources, we joined Xetic. Unfortunately Xetic was already beyond saving and the only thing we could do was sit out the ride to the end. Eventually a few of the Corporations split off and formed Ascendant Frontier (ASCN) which took their home in Impass and Feythabolis regions. EOG was a member of ASCN, and established a home in the Impass region. This is also the place where we first met AWECO.

Eventually EOG and Dirty Deeds Corp. (DDC) decided to split from ASCN. We would still be friends but it was just time for EOG to leave ASCN. Together with DDC we formed a new alliance, Axiom Empire (AXE), and stayed in Impass, there we faced the huge task to build up from scratch since there were few stations.

Together with the massive economic power of EOG, and the military forces of DDC we built 3 stations in Impass. The first was a Minmatar refinery outpost (EOG is and has always been hungry for minerals). The second station was an Amarr factory outpost, and the third was a Caldari research outpost. The 3 stations were built in the same constellation as this was all done for the rumored constellation sovereignty.

At the time of the BOB war against ASCN, AXE was attacked by Against All Authorities (.-A-.). this was in the stone age of alliance wars so no cyno jammers, no jump bridges, no warning messages when POSs were put up in our space, and no official sovereignty. Eventually, most of AXE had moved out except for EOG, we stayed to fight a lost war, we helped everyone to get all their assets out, and hoped that the others would do the same for us. Unfortunately that was not the case. ASCN and AXE had fallen and there was no one willing to fight any more.

Again EOG had to return to empire and there we lost most of our PvP players. EOG however continued. We bought a station in the drone regions at B-7LYC. There we formed a new alliance (XPACT) and recruited everyone that was close to us. Without our PvP force we knew we were a sitting duck waiting to be robbed from its eggs. When we realized that, we started to look for a buyer to sell the station. OXIDE alliance was willing to buy it and since they were already using it, it was easy for them to pull in.

So again we moved to empire, although most of our PvP’ers stayed at B-7LYC. It was at this point that oldma of AWECO, now with Intrepid Crossing alliance (IRC), first contacted EOG about joining with IRC. Because our remaining PvP’ers were still in B-7, EOG left XPACT and joined OXIDE. We stayed there to help defend against attacks from SMASH and Roadkill until the station was eventually overrun by Atlas who were friends of SMASHKILL. OXIDE died once that happened, and EOG then joined IRC.

During our stay in IRC we took our revenge on SMASHKILL and Atlas by evicting them from 0.0. We have also been working on our numbers since we left ASCN. EOG lost over 200 members and got back to a corp of only 100ish players. During our stay with IRC we further reduced that number by kicking out inactive players remaining as a solid core of hardcore industrialists and PvP’ers, which eventually were dominating the IRC kill boards (consistantly second even though we were only the ninth largest corp). The huge quantities of minerals that we gathered from mining and ratting in the drone regions suited our industrialists well and we rebuilt our cap fleet with a cap ship per member and a fleet of Rorquals. All seemed well until Red Alliance (RA) decided they wanted our space. RA was no match for us and we crushed them like a bug. Their big ally, GoonSwarm, did not approve of this and decided to attack us. So we decided to make friends with Atlas. This did not fall well with another of our friends xXDEATHXx and they decided to reset us and together with Goons they evicted IRC from the drone regions.

Now we are again in Empire. We managed to get all our capital ships out even though the stations were camped 23/7. We got them all out thanks to some really dedicated players. We did multiple trips to get most of our assets out. And again like Impass we were unable to count on any help from the alliance or other corporations within the alliance. Everyone was just too busy trying get their own assets out.

What our future will bring? We don’t know yet, where we will go. That is yet to be decided, but it will be somewhere in 0.0 as our PvPers are still hungry for blood.
