History

Founding And The First Steps

Fleet of the Damned [A.S.P] was founded by Xax Tannor in June of 2007, originally the corp was based in Minmatar high security space (Heimatar) before moving to Devoid region of Amarr space, particularly the low security system Oyeman. During this time the corp joined the short lived Acid Alliance.

First Stint In The South

Following Acid's breakup the corp joined United Freeman Alliance (UFA) and moved to Wicked Creek. During this time there were some memorable fights with the Triumvirate alliance (Mark 1), during their CVA campaign and with the Death or Glory alliance based in Curse. The corp departed from UFA in March of 2008 on good terms and moved to Catch to join Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate (IAC) and was involved in the fighting between IAC and AAA.

The Wild West

In June of 2008, Fleet of the Damned left IAC to form a new alliance, Dark Trinity Alliance (DTA), DTA stayed active in Catch & Providence and continued to fight alongside IAC, until the fall of their capital (ZXIC-7 and subsequent defeat by AAA.

Following these events Fleet of the Damned lead Dark Trinity to the newly created Black Rise region of Caldari space. This was the fleets first time away from the south of the eve map. During this time it was learned that some old allies from the IAC times Liberty Alliance had come into possession of a station (P-2TTL station). The corporation moved the alliance to Pure Blind where it helped to defend Liberty's space from enemies such as G00dfellas, Triumvirate (Mark 2), Atlas Alliance and members of the GBC (involved in the Max campaign).

During the time in Pure Blind the corp came into contact with three other alliances which would come to play a role in the corps future, Penumbra Alliance, Dara Cothrom and Sc0rched Earth. Unfortunately, diplomacy issues with the NC prevented Fleet of the Damned pilots from joining joint Liberty fleets. These issues caused DTA to move to Cloud Ring, which was controlled by Penumbra and Dara Cothrom. The alliances were happy to accommodate Fleet of the Damned which meant that it could reside in Cloud Ring where DTA claimed sovereignty over 3 systems.

Back To The South

Due to internal friction in DTA, Fleet of the Damned and several other corps left the alliance in January 2009. Many of the smaller ex-DTA corps were merged into Fleet of the Damned. Accepting the offer to join B.L.A.C.K, the corp was reunited with many of the old friends from the IAC days. B.L.A.C.K was based in Curse. After 4 months of living in the north of Eve Fleet of the Damned returned to it's roots in the south of Eve, an area the vast majority of the members were very familiar with. Around this time Sc0rched Earth alliance also moved into Curse area. Many joint fleets and generally a large degree of cooperation between Sc0rched Earth and B.L.A.C.K was seen in the taking of Wicked Creek from Executive Outcomes. Fleet of the Damned also participated in heavy fighting against Band of Brothers and their allies over Goonswarm space in Detorid during the time served in B.L.A.C.K alliance.

No Rest for the Wicked [Creek]

Following B.L.A.C.K's dissolution Fleet of the Damned accepted an offer to join Sc0rched Earth, an alliance the corp had good ties to since the days in the north of Eve and had cooperated with during the war to take Wicked Creek. Some memorable fights were had including Sc0rched Earth's victory defending the TCF owned systems in Wicked Creek from invasion by Aggression. alliance and a second attempted invasion, this time by a joint force of Aggression., The Firm, Tenth Legion, Minor Threat., Kraut, and Atlas which led to a bloody two week long war. TIFA, Red Alliance and TCF came to the aid of Sc0rched Earth in defence of the area. The apex of the fight saw five titans actively engaged with almost 200 capital ships and roughly 500 support ships in the same system, numbers which at that day and age were unheard of. In the end, the defenders held the field.

Some time after this Sc0rched Earth reset standing with TCF, Red Alliance and most of the NC/Redswarm. Together with Atlas, and Aggression, Sc0rched Earth attacked the collection of TCF systems in the middle of BYRN space. Soon after this 'purge' Wicked Creek began to be over-run by Red Alliance, KARMA, -RZR- and the break-off alliance, TNT. The pressure from those attacks aswell as internal fighting caused Sc0rched to slowly failscade. After numerous devastating defeats, with the corp hemorrhaging resources, Fleet of the Damned had no choice but to evacuate their assets to the high-sec region of Heimatar. This occurred just days before the loss of the last station in Wicked Creek and Sc0rched Earth's break up, with many of Fleet of the Damned's pilots remaining to fight with literally their last ship and cargo hold of ammunition.

Stain's Massive

After a short stay in high sec Fleet of the Damned received an invitation to join Hellstrome Alliance in Esoteria. Having never based this deep into the south west corner of 0.0 space and eager to get back into nullsec, Fleet of the Damned jumped at the opportunity to check it out.

Time in Hellstrome was short lived however. Playing on the side of caution while being still in the early stages of rebuilding the corps capabilities, the Fleet made haste to setup a POS network within the NPC region of Stain next door. The majority of the corp assets were cached there, a move which proved to have been prudent. Only a month after joining, Hellstrome failed to deliver on an agreement with Stain Empire and were removed from Esoteria. Not overly concerned about leaving the area themselves and playing on own strengths, Fleet of the Damned decided to "wing it solo" in Stain against the likes of Stain Empire and other hardened groups within the Stain region.

During a roam, a group of various pilots and small corps living out the UF-KKH system was encountered. There seemed to be a little conflict brewing between two factions within and taking the opportunity the Fleet began harassing both sides. One side, a friendly NRDS group, chose to invite us into their fold and a small alliance was formed, more because it was convenient than because the corps fitted well together: Eternal Ascention. This made it easy to sort out standings and the defense of the UF-KKH (or Hubzero as it was coined by inhabitants) and neighboring systems, where Fleet of the Damned based out of for the remaining time in Stain.

I Can Haz Sanctums?

Having rebuilt capabilities as well seeing the return of some old and new members, with regained confidence, Fleet of the Damned packed up shop from the Stain region, to return to the sovereignity war theatre. Making way to the hotly contested region of Insmother and joining the Honourable Templum of Alcedonia.

Time in HTA was exciting and fruitful with daily gang skirmishes versus a well known enemy and former ally Red Alliance, Legion of xXDEATHXx, Solar and Section 13 amongst others, plenty of fights in Insmother and surrounding areas and many, many kills. After having suffered the embarrassment of having all corps "BoBbed" out of the alliance for the second time (most inconveniently during a siege on HTA space by Pandemic Legion) and rumors concerning the use of alliance funds, it was clear the alliance leadership left something to be desired.

Clean Slate

A few of the stronger PVP corps from HTA, including Fleet of the Damned, decided to split off and to form their own smaller PVP focused alliance with the intention of heading out from Insmother to Syndicate and make a name for themselves. The alliance arrived in Syndicate with a blank slate and standings list, a policy of aggressive diplomacy and a new banner: Ta8ula Rasa.

After a mere two days after Ta8 arrived in the constellation, the locals were bothered enough for them to harass the alliance diplomats into a NAP. The NAP eventually resulted in a struggle of egos between Ta8 and I-RED leadership, which caused us to do a flipflop reset (red, blue and red once again). After about a month of attacking POS towers, the war ran out of steam. I-RED refused to defend and staunchly remained docked. After I-RED brought in more allies and started outnumbering Ta8ula Rasa forces they dared risk a few skirmishes, but the war effectively ground to a stalemate with neither side making any ground.

Ta8 then received an invite to head south to help CO2/Initiative/DT with their war vs Stainwagon / -A-. Marching orders where recieved to start moving out of Syndicate towards a new staging point. Fleet of the Damned decided it would be the right time to politely part ways as it was felt that the alliance had begun to diverse from what was originally envisioned, the executor having scrapped the original constitution for a more hardlined dictatorship. Ta8ula Rasa disbanded two weeks after Fleet of the Damned parted ways.

The BLOB Slideshow

After leaving Ta8, Fleet of the Damned joined OWN Alliance in Vale of the Silent in order to gain access to some of the fighting going on involving the NC vs Red Alliance/xdeathx in the drone regions. NC involvement pulled back from the drone regions and although Fleet of the Damned's original intention was to only remain up north for the duration of the drone wars, the decision was made to remain in the area and purchase a squadron of Revelations from an industrial corp in the alliance.

From then on the DRF forces started to turn the fight to the NC homefront. They began sieging Geminate which offered many more Rage/NC sovereignity defence fleets to join in and keep the members busy and killboard padded.

The routine of forming up for hours in blobs to engange in heavy 'spatial distortions' eventually wore on the nerves of the members, who were begging for more small scale warfare. By the time the DRF invasion made its way to Vale of the Silent, with RAGE and Guest's Forces forming a beachhead in Tribute the members had no motivation left to fleet up and fight.

Go West

The members of Fleet of the Damned were unanimous in their need for more fun fights, despite the ridiculously high numbers of kills that were made while in NC space. They wanted to ditch their alpha-strike battleships and dust off their long neglected interceptors, recons, dictors and unused blackops. What better playground is more famous for its fun and mindless gangs than Syndicate?

Before jumping in, the corp hooked up with an alliance already in the area: Legion of the Damned. The decision to join up with them was made without knowing a single thing about them, simply because Azran and Xax thought the name was just too awsome and region they were based in too much of a coincidence to not have been a sign from the internet spaceship gods. Luckily, once in, it was found to the delight of everyone that Legion of the Damned was based exactly in the same pocket we previously occupied (and wanted to return to) and are well organised PVP pilots with very few blues.

Present Day

Fleet of the Damned is currenly based in Syndicate.

We are aggressively NBSI in 0.0, but try to mind our own business elsewhere.
