BREAKING: Drifter Attacks on Research Facilities Across New Eden Reported by Capsuleers

The apparently widespread Drifter assaults come against a background of the new "Alpha" cloning technology having been rolled out to general availability, as per the terms of the Yulai Convention's technology sharing provisions and agreements on spaceship captain access to cloning. See more...

Former SOE Alleges New Cloning Uses Project Discovery and Thera Research; Warns of Drifter Danger

Aring, Genesis Region – Former Sister of EVE and Sanctuary scientist Taya Akira, notable for exposing details of the SOE's presence in Thera, has alleged that the new "Alpha" cloning technology recently developed by the SOE combines data from the SOE's Project Discovery, research from the Sanctuary's scientific outposts in Thera, and techniques hitherto unknown to New Eden's scientific community.

In illustration of the importance of capsuleer efforts against the Drifters, the DED's Genesis Fleet command has commended the efforts of such capsuleer groups as the Arataka Research Consortium (ARC) and the Special Empire Response for the Assault and Penetration of Hives (SERAPH). See more...

ARC // Zero Casualty Hive Op

This is the first time that an ARC fleet has sustained no casualties since we first started to attack the Drifters in their Hives. Furthermore, this is not a fluke of luck, but as the deliberate result of ARC’s evolving doctrine and tactical approach to combating the Drifters. The current doctrine, known as Heavy Weasels, continues ARC’s tradition of keeping a low barrier of entry for pilots wishing to come on open operations, both on skill points and initial investment in ships. Current events

The Drifter vessel is, I assume, the Arithmos Tyrannos that has begun appearing in core wormhole systems. We've received reports that it is significantly tougher than previously-identified Drifters, but lacks a superweapon; I can only assume the energy used to power the superweapon was instead focused on vessel integrity systems. Considering the Drifter battleship now seems to take damage like a dreadnaught, well, that's quite the undertaking! ARC's planning an expedition to assess the threat of this ship; more news will follow. See more...

To Galactic Summit on recent Society statements

Recent news has laid us on an interesting path. With the Society of Conscious Thought’s recent rise to the halls of power, and their statement on coming to an understanding with the Vigilant Tyrannos, it may be possible to end this crisis.

As such, the Arataka Research Consortium has called a temporary halt of operations to provide the Society additional time to clarify their position, their relationship with the Vigilant Tyrannos, and what steps may be taken to reduce the threat the Vigilant Tyrannos pose to the cluster at large. We do this out of respect for the Society and an understanding that they are privy to information we do not yet have. See more...

Analysis of Materials Salvaged from Drifter Hives

Itsukame-Zainou Hyperspatial Inquiries, Ltd., in cooperation with our expeditionary group partners, has retrieved salvage and biomass from Drifter Hive zones with our operations beginning YC117.06. With the completion of our first series of such penetrations, and following the conclusion of the legal issues arising from other elements of our biomass recovery efforts, we began a new analysis, which has taken nearly half a year to prepare.
