Samira Kernher is a Sebiestor capsuleer and former slave who has chosen to remain with the Amarr Empire. Quiet and withdrawn, she has attempted to keep her distance from both baseliner and capsuleer society. Nevertheless, her choice to stay in the Empire despite being released from slavery has resulted in both praise from Amarr, whom believe that Kernher is an example of successful Reclaiming, and derision from Minmatar, whom consider Kernher a traitor unworthy of the marks she has continued to wear.
History
Early life
Kernher was born in servitude to the Amarr Empire on the planet of Thebeka III, at the edge of the Ardishapur half of the Domain region. Though not a true oceanic planet, Thebeka III had only very few land masses, with the majority clumped together at the northern pole; the majority of its surface was ocean. Sivahr itself was a small continent to the south of the polar regions. It's southerly position made it known for very warm, humid temperatures.
Kernher and her family were owned by Lord Esmail Sivahr, the Holder of Sivahr, but for all practical purposes they belonged to Lord Sivahr's niece, Aara Casern, by Custodial Servitude Contract. Several other slave families were also contracted to the Casern Family, and helped to care for their estates and businesses.
Kernher's own servitude did not begin until she was eight. She and her siblings were allowed relative freedom for their first seven years, though were given extensive education from both slave and Amarr lecturers. These lessons established fundamental principles that Kernher would carry for the rest of her life, and included traditional religious education and training in manners and etiquette. Foremost among the lessons that Kernher and her siblings received was that the Amarr were God's Chosen, blessed with bringing his message to the rest of the universe. Very little information was provided of the world outside of Ardishapurite space during these lessons, and even less about the world beyond the Empire's borders. It would not be until many years later that Kernher would begin to learn that the societies beyond the Empire were anything more than primitive faithless in need of guidance.
Kernher initially had something of a wild streak, encouraged by her siblings. Though she paid attention during her lessons, she had a habit of wandering about the Casern Estate when she wasn't watched, and toying with objects that weren't hers. She was routinely disciplined for these transgressions, though the relatively minor punishments handed out at this young stage this only encouraged her to better hide her activities.
