General information

Sc0rched Earth is a primarily English-speaking, international alliance.

History

Sc0rched Earth was formed by the active corporations in Cosmic Anomalies as a 0.0 alliance, with the goal of succeeding where CAN had failed. With less than 200 pilots and no allies BYRN quickly took its first station in FI01-8 in the Fade region. As FI0 was being secured, BYRN built a relationship with Penumbra Alliance, who were taking Cloud Ring from Immoral Dragons at the time. Once FI0 was secure and sovereignty 3 was achieved, Sc0rched Earth mobilized to assist Penumbra with invading Cloud Ring.

As the MAX Campaign drew to a close, the other parts of Fade were sold by members of the GBC to Space Technologies. Sc0rched Earth took advantage of the situation to kick Space Technologies out and claim all of Fade for themselves, eventually controlling all 4 station systems in the region. At the same time, BYRN grew to a medium sized alliance.

After the rest of Fade was secured, the Northern Coalition began invasions of ROIR in Pure Blind and G00DFELLAS space in Deklein. BYRN made an agreement to help the NC for the period of that conflict, and to be reset afterward. Deklein was taken in a short amount of time, and as the NC reset BYRN, Mostly Harmless and Guardian Federation began to attack BYRN's space in Fade.

Outnumbered, BYRN decided to ask for an armistice to withdraw their assets. As they relocated to Empire, Tau Ceti Federation, the only NC entity to maintain blue status with BYRN during the attack on Fade, offered BYRN the J-9M7D Constellation in Wicked Creek in exchange for assistance assaulting the GBC-controlled region.

The invasion of Wicked Creek was successful and the GBC forces were eliminated. BYRN began to expand from the constellation. Annexing several smaller entities, including B.L.A.C.K., BYRN quickly grew to a much larger alliance.

BYRN, as it grew, gained more control of Wicked Creek, until April 23, 2009, Aggression., aided by Tenth Legion and others, launched an assault on one of their station systems, 4-EFLU. Aggression. put forth an impressive show of 3 titans and over 270 people for this initial blitzkrieg, and BYRN lost 4 carriers, countless battleships, and 5 towers went into reinforced.

Currently the war for Wicked Creek is raging on, it's in question whether BYRN will hold their space.

Political Direction

BYRN is an independent Alliance with friendly relations to NC. BYRN currently resides in Wicked Creek.
