What Is A War Declaration

A war declaration (war dec) is a formal state of war between two player corporations or alliances. When corporations or alliances are at war the pilots belonging to them become legal targets for eachother in all security levels of empire space. NPC corporations cannot be war decced by a player organisation.

Corporation or Alliance assets are also considered legal targets, i.e. Starbase Structures, anchorable containers.

You can see what wars your corporation is currently involved in, and check other corporations wars on the wars tab of the corporation menu.

A Corporation leaving an alliance at war will surrender to the agressors and 'retract' all wars where their previous alliance was the aggressor. What this means is that a corporation leaving an alliance will still be involved with all it's previous alliance wars for 24 hours after leaving. A corporation joining an alliance cannot have any war decs where it is the agressor or it cannot join, and all wardecs against the corporation will be carried over to the alliance it joins.

Declaring War

How do I declare war on a corporation or alliance ? To declare war on another corp you must have the director or CEO role in your current corporation, you must then cast a vote from the politics tab of the corp menu to declare war on the desired corporation. Once the vote has been returned with majority yes vote (the minimum voting period is 24 hours) the ceo may put the war into effect from the sanctionable actions tab.

For an alliance declaring war the Executor corp must do this process.

How much does a wardec cost ?

It costs 2 million isk for a corporation to declare war on another corporation . It costs 50 million isk for a corporation or alliance to declare war on an alliance. It costs 50 million isk for an alliance to declare war on a corporation.

This base-cost can be increased by the number of wars you currently have ongoing (where you are the agressor) and the number of wars the target corporation already has against them. The formula for calculating the cost is B x (N +1) X (W + 1). Where B = Base Price, N = number of wars you currently have, W = number of wars currently against the target corporation.

The war declaration fee must be in the Master Wallet of the corp wallet. Note: A corporation can only have a maximum of 3 wars, an Alliance has no such limit.

I just sanctioned a war, what now ?

When the war is sanctioned by the CEO the fee is removed from the corp wallet and a CONCORD mail is sent to your, and the targets alliance or corp evemail. The war will go active from 24 hours of the war being sanctioned .

Wars will last 1 week unless retracted prematurely or extended by paying the fee for the next week of war. If the war bill is not paid, the war will end 24 hours after its due date.

What does making a war "mutual" mean ?

If the reciever of the wardec chooses, they can make the war dec mutual. Mutual wars do not cost the agressor the usual war weekly fee and won't expire unless the war is manually retracted or the mutual status is revoked.

Ending A War

Ending a war

To end a war the CEO’s of both Corporations must be in the same station and end the war at the same time. When the war is ended a message will be sent to involved parties confirming the war invalidation. When a war between Corporations has been ended it takes 24 hours for the war cancellation to become active. During that time players can still shoot at each other without security loss or Concords intervention. The only exception to this rule is when the Corporation that declared the war decides to retract its declaration. The CEO of that Corporation can do this through his own corporation management console, without consulting the other CEO.

When Concord sends a message confirming the war invalidation because the war bill was not paid, the 24 hour cool down period also applies.
