Corporate Background

Jazz Associates was founded on 8 September 2003. The official Jazz motto is "Honesty, Integrity and enjoying life in Eve"

The name Jazz is actually formed from the choice picking of the initials of the 3 original founders; Calmity Jayne, Aves and Zinndahr.

Current CEO of Jazz is Aves.

Corporate Overview

Jazz can often be referred to a corporation made by the gathering of old friends. Corp mates are collectively referred to as "Jazzies".

Jazz practices an open door policy and it is often said that if you were once a Jazzie, you're always one.

Jazz still retains many of its older members and a significant majority of its members have been with Jazz for more than 4 years.

Jazz activities are mainly industrial in nature but it does field a small but well equipped and experienced PVP force which include capital and super-capital class vessels.

Jazz Command Structure includes a CEO, 2 Vice-CEOs and a number of Directors/Shareholders to manage timezone differences.

Jazz also has some interesting Member Titles. These include:

- Baby on Board

- Master of Miscommunication and Bad Relations

- 100 Million Bounty

- Mr Hanky

- Strange Timezone Manager

- Chambermaid

Jazz has also issued various strange medals to commemorate various events and activities.

Corporate History

The 3 founders first met while they were in a corporation, known as "Brilliant Corporation", which was based in the low sec system of Anohel in early 2003. However, an unscrupulous member led to a massive war declaration against the corp which led to its quick demise a few months later.

Although the 3 friends were saden and angry at the demise of their first home, they formed Jazz Associates as a new home and issued a call to all their friends to come and join them. Many former Brilliant Industries corp mates answered the call and joined Jazz. Of which, many of them remain in Jazz until this day.

Jazz has been part of a number of alliances dating back from the 1st Fountain Alliance, NORAD, RISE, Cosmic Anomalies and most recently, Skunkworks

After the disbandment of Skunkworks, Jazz returned to empire and for quite a number of months, lived in wormhole space.

Politics

Jazz practices a no-piracy policy. This means Jazzies are not allowed to participate in piracy type operations. New members who join Jazz from former pirate organizations are required to stop all pirate related activities while flying under Jazz. In other words, hang their skulls & crossbones flag at the door.

Recent History

End Game. Corporation War_Declaration - 2009.01.05 to 2009.01.13

End Game. Corporate [END G] declared war on Jazz Associates on 5th January 2009. Thinking that Jazz was mainly an industrial corporation which could not muster an effective fighting defense, [END G] declared war.

Aves briefed Jazz with the following message:

"End Game. is a 9 member corp who seem to wardec corporations that they think are easy pickings. They currently have 2 other wars besides Jazz and operate mainly in the Dodixie area. One of their members was tracked down to Slays, another surfaced in Stacmon.

They mostly fly Dominix and Megathron class battleships, but they are able to fly other types of ships, like a Scorpion. We'll be keeping a gang up as much as possible, and harass them instead. Hopefully we can kill a few of their ships and get this over with pretty fast."

Jazz Intel soon identified that [END G] members and Jazz went on the offensive on the 6th January when war officially started.

The first day saw 2 separate engagements in which Jazz held the field and successfully destroyed 3 hostile battleships and 1 frigate at the loss of its bait battleship.

Over the rest of the week, Jazz periodically station camped [END G] and launched numerous attacks against them when they undocked. Unfortunately, most of the time they were able to de-aggro and dock back into the station before they were destroyed.

12th January saw the loss of another Jazz battleship piloted by one of its newer members who was trying to link up with the rest of Jazz after being inspired by early victory reports. His solo Raven class battleship went down after a vicious attack by a [END G] Heavy Assault Cruiser.

The final day of the war saw Jazz again camping the Dodixie station and trying to bait the [END G] hostiles docked in station. Attempting to set a trap, all members of the Jazz gang jumped 1 system away while leaving a lone Megathron class battleship on station. [END G] took the bait, undocked a number of ships and engaged the battleship and the rest of the Jazz fleet warped back onto station and pounded another [END G] ship to scraps. Jazz then proceeded to probe down the hapless pod and destroyed it.

This marked the final engagement between Jazz and [END G]. All Jazzies who participated and scored a kill against ENG will be awarded a campaign medal for their efforts.

Jazzies in Skunk Works - 2009.01.21 to 2009.06.18

Jazz joined SW alliance in late January 2009 to team up with our former brothers-in-arms InQuest Ascension, Resurrection and Sturmgrenadier Inc. During this period of time, SW was involved in deep raids into Fountain to disrupt activities to the north of BOB home region Delve.

However, in the midst of logistic operations to move Jazz assets to Querious, the Delve_War_II war began and things began to spiral downwards and started to go horribly wrong.

Despite being new to the alliance and not having the material stockpile of the other more established alliances/SW member corps, Jazz fought valiantly and participated in any GBC led offensives including the taking of 49-U6U.

The last major engagement Jazz fought was the I1Y-IU siege before the pull out order was given. Shortly after, the order was given to evaculate 49-U6U

SW Alliance Leader Selest then made the decision to disband SW and merge with Executive Outcomes. Jazz made to decision not to follow the few SW corps which obeyed this order and withdrew to a secret wormhole location to rebuild.
