Content Members of the Project,

As you may or may not know, approximately 3 weeks ago I finished my initial data gathering for Project Compass, the attempt to locate Anoikis in relation to New Eden. Although the analysis by Eifyr is ongoing, I have managed to complete my initial analysis courtesy of the Center for Advanced Studies. Given the surprising nature of my results, I have decided it is important to release my preliminary conclusions now for feedback from both the Arek'Jaalan and larger Capsuleer community.

I stress that these are merely preliminary results. I will not consider them conclusive until I hear from Eifyr. I have, however, forwarded this report to Dr. Tukoss, and he has agreed that my preliminary analysis is at least compelling, though not conclusive.

There are two primary conclusions that can be drawn from my analysis:

1) Anoikis and New Eden are fairly close to each other spatially, within a 1,000 lightyear diameter. This conclusion is based on spectroscopic and parallax evidence.

2) New Eden and Anoikis are probably located within either an elliptical or irregular galaxy. Given the homogenous stellar distribution both within New Eden and in Anoikis, we can safely rule out that the systems are located in a spiral galaxy.

My full report, which lays out my data as well as my reasoning, is available here.

I'm happy to hear any and all comments from the Project before I release the Compass results onto GalNet. Unless major objections are raised, however, I hope to post these results to GalNet by the end of the weekend.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your comments.

Sincerely,
Mark726
