Content Following recent occurences and new found interest in The Mysterious Shuttle located in Geztic, I accompanied a small team to investigate.

What we found was a typical shuttle of apparent Caldari design in working condition orbiting a Celestial Beacon above the local sun. The Geztic star is designated as an A0 small blue star - it is noteworthy that all the stars that were destabilized during the Seyllin incident were A0 stars. The shuttle maintains a steady orbit never varying more than 1-3 km from the beacon.

Scans of the shuttle indicate that it is fitted with some manner of reciever designed to interact with the star's magnetic field. Within there is a faint life sign indicative of a human in cryogenic status.

All old news.

Of more interest was interacting with it somehow. It was suggested that we simply ram it out of position. But moving it forcibly would be of no real use to us.

After a variety of other tests with no result, we deployed a wide array of ECM. What we found was that no matter what spectrum was used (grav, mag, lad, rad), once effectively jammed the shuttle would begin moving at variable speeds away from the beacon marking its location.

It responded this way numerous times, making it a recreatable event, always heading away from its origin point in the same direction no matter which method of ECM was applied. After 175 km, experimentation was halted for fear of what it may do to the shuttle's occupant if we significantly interrupted its proximity to the star's magnetic field.

When ECM were disengaged the shuttle would immediately change heading back towards the site beacon. At no point in time did the shuttle alter its behavior in any concievable way other than that expected when ECM were applied.

Content When a ship loses "sight" of the object it is orbiting, it is typical for the ship to continue moving in whichever direction it was headed at the moment this occurred.

If the Mysterious Shuttle was programmed to ignore objects it isn't targeting, and to maintain a target lock on the beacon, its behavior can be partially explained. When a human pilot, such as one of us, chooses to orbit a static object in space we usually don't target that object. Therefore, being jammed and losing targets doesn't affect our orbit. I can only assume there was some purpose or limitation motivating the peculiar programming of this shuttle's automation.

That does not explain all of the shuttle's behavior, though, if Dr. Pritchard's description of it is precise. When jammed, it moves away from the beacon in the same direction every time? I would expect it to fly off in a different direction each time it was successfully jammed, as it would be at a different point in its orbit each time.

All that said, I am not an expert on this subject. If I am missing or forgetting something, please correct me.

Content I think we should Jam it and follow it. See where it goes. Maybe there's something in that direction that we'd find.

Content The shuttle warps back to its beacon after it's traveled 115-120 kilometres.

I tried heading off along the line the shuttle took, but found nothing.

Content These are the notes we have gathered on the mysterious shuttle thus far. All statments are as accurate as possible.

Jamming: made shuttle fly off from beacon to 118 km and then it warped back to beacon.

Torpedoes: Impacted on shuttle, no damage done to shuttle.

Projected ECCM counter: No visible effect

Hacking, analyzing, salvaging: No effect

Zephyr approach: no effect

Tengu approach: No effect

ECCM Counter with Grav jamming on: shuttle flew away when perma jammed, but one jam and one ECCM counter had no effect

Cargo analyzer Nothing in cargo

Ship analyzer: tested. Produces 600 gj more than normal shuttle. ( Perhaps as a result of the star's magnetic field...)

Boarding with pod: Unable to board with pod.

Cap neut: No effect notciable.

Energy drain: Has effect, but no power drain on the shuttle

Sensor dampening:

ECM - Multispectral jammer: shuttle jammed

Warp Scramble - no effect.

Top recorded speed: 180 m/s

Shuttle MAY have different course headings depending on what jammer is used on it.

Thank you for reading. I hope this helps anyone that is interested.

Content Shuttle has no variance in heading dependant upon what manner of ECM is applied. Grav, mag, lad, and rad all sent it in the exact same direction.

Furthermore there was no noted difference between applying 1 ECM unit to applying several ECM units.

So long as the shuttle was effectively jammed, it pursued the same heading away from its point of origin.

Content I have a seperate suggestion. Somebody, in a fast ship, such as a Dramiel with a deadspace micro warp perma runniing, head off in the trajectory that the shuttle goes when jammed. I have a sneaking suspicion that whatever it may be leading to is off grid, and seeing as that little cartel ship can climb up to 5k m/s, that would be the best way to go off grid in said direction for a while without being subjected to the agonizing delay of subspace burning. An interceptor class frigate would also work fine for this sort of idea as well.

OR

Maybe the mystery has to do with the actual beacon or sun itself? Or, forgive me if this seems a bit paranoid, what if the shuttle is in the vicinity of a cloaked frigate of some sort? Maybe try warping in a battleship and smartbombing the area?

Content Alternatively, you could always use probes. Shake out a couple probes while the shuttle is on its merry way, and see what turns up.

Content I am unsure if this infomation has been spread out yet but yesterday a few people (sorry I did not keep records on their names) were doing tests on the directin the mysterious shuttle would take. It Actually did NOT go in the same direction every time and over multiple test runs slight diffrences were noted by placing jetcans at each final position. Overall based on the tests it was moving futher out each time. So it was NOT moving in the same direction each time. Also, we used D-scan, probes (core scanner), a Scrambler, and code breakers, and salvagers, and shotting at it (no damage done) , all to no avail.

Content Dear Scientific Community,

first of all I would like to apologize for this quite direct approach as I am not familiar with the operational order of this communicational channel.
I am taking great interest in the scientific workings found in the data libraries of Arek'Jaalan. Even though the mysteries of Anoikis puzzle me much, as a soldier I rarely have the opportunity or the time to investigate or to contribute myself. However this time I might have stumbled upon something which might hold some interesting secrets for you to unlock.

So getting to the point.... Upon warping throught the high security system of Geztic my sensors picked up an interesting signal clearly designated as "Mysterious Shuttle".
Upon closing in on the signal, i have fell out of warp in very close proximity of the systems A0 Class star. Orbiting around it was a mysterious shuttle seemingly of caldari design. Upon giving it a quick glance I have found this.

"The only thing sensors can make out about this ship is that it has some kind of receiver that interacts with the star’s natural magnetic field. There is one faint life sign, similar to a human in cryogenic stasis."

I have read reports about an entity called as the "Awakened Infomorph" being sighted in New Caldari in a shuttle of similar design, and have read theories about Sleepers and cryogenics, I can clearly imagine a real connection here. Maybe the community will have the time and tools to get something out of this.
