Corporations of the Caldari State.
Megacorporations
The Caldari State is made up of 8 Megacorporations, among them they control every aspect of their citizens lives. Each one is made up of thousands of smaller companies, ranging from law firms to industrial companies. All land and real estate is owned by a company, which leases it to the citizens. The State has no centralized police force, with each Megacorporation having their own to police their territory. Although they have dictatorial powers, they are just as bound to Caldari customs and laws as an individual; the fierce and continuous competition between these corporations ensures a healthy, consumer-based social environment, which benefits everyone.
The Megacorporations are divided by political goals into three major power blocs.
Practicals
The Practicals are often associated with organized crime and has a typically exploitative view of international trade. They care little for limiting concepts like 'ethics' and they take a zero-sum view of profit and loss in cluster-wide markets.
Liberals
Believing in the principles of free trade and inter-empire cooperation, the Liberals espouse fair treatment for all, inside the State and out. They're the strongest supporters of CONCORD in the Caldari State, which left them weakened following the death of Otro Gariushi and the attack on CONCORD by the Elder Fleet. Despite their quiet distaste for the actions of Tibus Heth, they too were invigorated by the military victories he led the State to.
Patriots
Between the members of the Patriots power bloc, they and their subsidiaries posses capabilities that could rival the other two factions combined. They are less concerned with trade and more with the position of the Caldari State in the international community. Their pride was hurt by the politically vicious rise of Tibus Heth and as a result they generally refuse to admit that many of the things Heth has done are exactly what they want.

Each megacorporation is made up of thousands of smaller companies, they all have their own police forces, industrial corporations, entertainment providers and financial institutions, just to name a few. In many ways, a megacorporation is its own nation.
