Updates

Red Alliance continues their resurgence, having successfully retaken their stations in northern Insmother after a month long campaign with their allies to drive Veristas Immortalis out of the region.

A key factor in this development was due to Minor Threat shifting allegiance to support the Legion of xXDeathXx / Red Alliance bloc. As a result, Minor Threat have expanded their territory to cover most of Scalding Pass, with Cult of War still holding the P-I9PF constellation and its stations.

Further south, The Initiative has consolidated their holdings in Immensea and now controls all station systems in the region.

In yet another display of capital ship power, Against ALL Authorities and Atlas Alliance assembled a fleet of over 200 Dreadnaught class vessels and an undetermined number of Carriers to destroy a Pandemic Legion starbase in Immensea. Combined with allies such as Red Overlord and Stain region residents C0ven Alliance, the AAA-led 800 ship armada achieved its objective with little difficulty. Reports indicate that the starbase destroyed was of no real strategic or economic importance. Speculation on GalNet news feeds seemed to point to this simply being a ‘flexing of muscle’ by what is becoming known as the ‘South Central’ power bloc in EVE.

In Providence, Ushra'Khan seem to have targeted Providence-bloc member Slyph Alliance to be one of the main focuses of their continued guerilla campaign, all while strengthening relations with new ally Against ALL Authorities. The border between the Providence-bloc alliances and Against ALL Authorities has long been one of the hottest zones in the southern regions. It remains to be seen if Ushra'Khan’s continued provocations will further destabilize the area or not.

The fighting in Geminate between invaders Solar Fleet and region owners Wildly Inappropriate seems to have come to an impasse after a massive battle in CFYY-J that saw the destruction of nearly seventy capital ships. Losses were heaviest on Solar Fleet’s side as Wildly Inappropriate and their allies in the Northern Coalition managed to destroy the last of Solar Fleet’s starbases in the system, thus breaking their logistical foothold in the region.

This engagement paled in comparison to the massive engagement that took place in the low security system of Oman in the Kador region over a moon mining starbase owned by Cry Havoc. It is estimated that 113 capital ships met their demise as the Northern Coalition clashed with Cry Havoc and former allies Pandemic Legion in a fight that lasted over four hours from beginning to end. Losses in capital ships were nearly equal for both sides with sub capital losses defying any effort to classify.

Of note in this battle are high level communications leaked to the public between Pandemic Legion and Northern Coalition fleet commanders who were apparently in contact for most of the fighting. These transcripts speak volumes about the nature of how Capsuleers view warfare in New Eden, as light hearted banter went back and forth even as hundreds of thousands of lives were being lost among the crews of the ships under their respective commands.
