Mika Akido

Early History

Mika Akido was born into a long line of wealthy industrialists. Her father, Takero Akido, had inherited the corporation from his father who had inherited it from his father as well. Takero had sent her to the best universities in the empire, intending on making her the head of all manufacturing operations. Mika established herself in all of the industrial disciplines to a level 5 as well as many related skills to the same level. With the skill set that she had acquired and the natural abilities she displayed, it was very easy for Takero to turn his operation over to his daughter. Until the day that she found documents that detailed her father in about every illegal activity in the empire. It seemed that her father hadn't been content to simply manufacture products for residents of the Empire, but he was also involved in manufacturing many illegal drugs and distributing them throughout the Eve universe. Gambling, prostitution, drug trafficking, all of these activities had his handprint somewhere.

Mika bore a strong moral instinct, despite her father's influence, and could not continue without confronting him with this information. At first he denied it all when she approached him, but when she presented him with hard copies of the information that she had gathered from the corporation's mainframe computers, he caved in and told her everything, hoping that she would somehow understand due to her love for him and that things would then return to normal. This was not to be the case. Mika scooped up the documents and headed for the door, intent on contacting the press and incriminating her father and the corporation. In order to save himself and his position of power, he had her taken to the corp's private medical facilities where he wiped her memory clean of all that she had learned as well as the skills that she had attained. She would not remember who her father was, which broke his heart, but she would remember that he had done something horrific, though not exactly what he had done. He was gracious and left her enough skills to survive and eventually make something of herself. She retained a strong understanding of corporation management and industry skills which would enable her to once again gain a place of power should she desire. In order to prevent her from returning and ruining him, he placed her far away in the Lonetrek region's Korama system to begin anew, on her own this time.

Employment History

For a time, Mika was a member of Nomurra Enterprises, working in the areas of manufacturing as she had done previously for her father. The corporation was soon faced with a hostile takeover by one of it's members so she and nearly all of the other members quickly left and formed their own corporation, MindMoore. At MindMoore, Mika was immediately made Manager of Manufacturing where she would oversee all things related to manufacturing, mining and refining. It seemed an area that suited her well. Perhaps some deeply recessed pieces of information that she had previously learned had surfaced. It's hard to say. In any case, it seems that she had found her niche at MindMoore."

In the beginning she paid no attention to the fact that her skills in the industrial setting came easy but after some time she began to realize that perhaps they came a bit too easy. Complex formulas for manufacturing starships and mineral compounds that she had never hear of before suddenly appeared at her fingertips as she typed on her screen. Not only this, but she had begun having dreams that were quite disturbing. Dreams of herself in another life that was too real even after she awoke. These dreams began to haunt even her waking moments to the point that she began to wonder whether they were real memories that her subconscious mind brought out as she slept.

Through the aid of the medical facilities a Suukkuvesta she learned that the memories that she had were merely implants and that her previous life had been overwritten. Fortunately for Mika, the medical field had advanced in recent years so that they were able to locate a small neuropathway in her brain that held the key to unlocking all of the lost memories, thus restoring her to her previous self.

Mika was suddenly flooded with memories that were real. In a moment she was able to relive her entire life through her own memories. The lie that she had previously called her life had been revealed for what it truly was. She knew now what she had to do. Revenge. Revenge on her father who had stolen her life. It would be a long and hard road but she would let nothing stand in her way.

Unfortunately, her persuit was not as forthcoming as she would have liked. Mika had joined first one private corporation and then another as she sought one that would help her further her cause and while she had some success, ultimately she was alone. It was during one of these times, as she was doing some freelance work for the Caldari Navy that she met with one of her biggest and longest lasting failures. While on a mission for the Caldari Navy she was overrun by a large force of Gurista Pirates and lost her ship. While they spared her life they did manage to capture her as well as the pilot that was flying with her. Together they spent the next two years in a Gurista Camp, sentenced to the most vile and cruel tortures.

Current Events

Mika Akido knew that she couldn't take down Akido Enterprises by herself, that she would need help from many others. With that she left MindMoore and began a search for the right corporation and the right set of contacts that would be able to challenge an organizations the side of her father's. Mika found a contracted employee of her father's who is rooted deep in 0.0 space and joined a corporation that could guide her to the informant.

Mika learned that her father's security had only been partially upgraded when her memory had been wiped. He mistakenly believed that the job would be so thoroughly that there would never be a fear of her regaining access to the computer system. With some help from her newfound friend, she gained access to Akido Enterprise computers and is currently in the process of analyzing the data.

We anxiously await to hear of her next move.
