Templates

Template:TOCright Backstage Lore Wiki contains many templates which can be included in articles or used to mark articles as needing attention.

This page is an index of those templates whose use is encouraged. Template pages themselves should include usage examples.

Header Message Boxes

 

• stub - Pages that do not contain much content.
  • corporation & alliance stub - Corporation or Alliance pages that do not contain much content.
  • character stub - Character pages that do not contain much content.
  • item database stub - Item database pages that do not contain much content.
  • mission stub - Mission pages that are missing information and/or sections that would help other pilots in the running of that mission.
  • category stub - categories in need of articles.
• cleanup - Pages requiring cleanup
• npov - Pages without a Neutral Point of View
• merge - Request for merging of articles
• move - Request for moving of articles
• rfiod - Request for Improvement or Deletion
• disambiguation - Disambiguation page header
• ambiguation - Articles needing ambiguation from disambiguation
• nc - Articles violating naming conventions
• Translate - Request for translation
• Archive - List the page as archived. Use this for out of date info or old character pages.
• In Character - Article written from a roleplay or in-character perspective.
• In Universe - Article written as it would be available to the public in-character.

Header Info Boxes

Similar to Header Message Boxes, but more to provide information then send a message.

• Website - Used on pages about websites to place the website link in a prominent position.
  • Development Website - Used on pages about development websites to place the website link in a prominent position.
• Library - Used on pages about API development libraries to place the website link in a prominent position.
• AURORA Event - marks a page as being related to AURORA events or event actors.

Right Margin Tables

Tables placed on the right margin of an article which list information about the subject.

• Character Template - about a specific player character.
• NPC - similar to the above template, but for non-player characters.
• NPC Corporations - Side bar for NPC corps.
• Player Corporation - about a player corporation created by players.
• Extended Player Corporation - more details than the above template.
• Player Alliance - about an alliance.
• Project - about a player project.

In Text Message Boxes

Colored boxes to draw attention to a bit of text.

• Note - Blue box with "Please note {{{1}}}".
• Hint - Green box with "Hint {{{1}}}".
• Warning - Red box with "Warning: {{{1}}}".

Footer Message / Information Boxes

Short notes to be placed at the bottom of pages.

Tables placed at the bottom of an article which link to related articles.

Utility

• TOCright - Forces the Table of Contents to show on the right and not in-line with the text.
• Color box - A colored box with text. Spans margin to margin. Choose color and border color. Used in many other templates.
• m3 - Utility to generate properly superscripted Template:M3.
• otheruses - Page header to link to disambiguation page consistently
• tlink - Utility to link to a template with an example.
• notsigned - Utility to display a signature when a player forgets to sign their comment.
