This Is The State
This Is The State is a political news and talk program produced by Echelon Entertainment and currently hosted by Iesa Murikomo, formerly an anchor for Echelon's 24-hour newsfeed. Murikomo has been the host since the summer of YC 110, when she was hand-picked by Echelon CEO Areyara Kogachi to replace retiring host Arai Sarulailen.
This Is The State is the major competitor to Nugoeihuvi's Games of State program, and follows a similar format of in-depth interviews with political leaders, panel discussions, and political reporting from around the cluster courtesy of Echelon's news bureaus. While not quite as highly regarded among the political and intellectual elite as Games of State, This Is The State has comparable market share and is generally considered to be more representative of the Caldari political mainstream. As a result, This Is The State is the venue of choice for many Caldari political and business leaders, especially from the Patriot bloc.
