Life Before The Capsule

YC85-94: Early Childhood

Zachary Dellinger was born in the city of Genesis on Deltole VI, on the date of January 13th to parents Archibald and Katherine Dellinger. The father was a professor of Yan Jung studies with the University of Caille and was a second generation researcher of the Dellinger family, studying the Yan Jung ruins upon the surfaces of the various planets of the Deltole System. The mother, noticing a distinct lack of what most would consider 'fun' within the city of Genesis, opened the equivalent of a Gallentean club with funds from various family members elsewhere in the Federation. The family was not necessarily wealthy, but the father's participation in the Yan Jung studies within the system both paid the bills and provided some reverse engineered technology within the colony for the family to live in relative comfort.

Zachary was a normal child living within the colony of researchers. The family was not necessarily religious, nor was their level of fame impressive within the community, but Archibald's position within the University saw Zachary begin his studies at the age of 4. His mother, on top of his studies, insisted that Zachary have some form of musical education.

When not receiving the basic education all children received in Genesis, Zachary was often taken by his father to what were considered 'safe' Yan Jung ruins for exploration and sight-seeing. Zachary's interest in said ruins would be sparked from these initial trips to the ancient races' testaments to their history.

Being the oldest child of a pair of children, Zachary's early life was slightly focused upon what seemed to be a parental obsession with him, resulting in what could have become spoiling him had he any more interest with material items and do-dads. He was content to read books, explore new sites his father took him, listen to music, and talk with anyone he didn't know.

Little else is known about his childhood. Zachary mentions having been bullied during his early years, but does not really seem to bitter about this. He claims it has assisted in learning how best to talk with others, even when they might be entirely unreasonable.

YC95-110: Education

At the age of 10, Archibald opted to have his son placed in the University of Caille's campus within Genesis to pursue whatever endeavor suited his fancy. Zachary obliged by his father's wishes, and enrolled in the months of August.

His studies involved many of the University's focuses during his 15 year period at the University, and while exact degrees are not known, Mr. Dellinger has hinted at various degrees of knowledge in regards to economics, Gallentean starship engineering, astrometrics, management, and diplomacy.

It is suspected that Zachary took some classes in the music department of the University, due to his proficiency with the acoustic guitar, vocals, piano, and the violin. He has attributed his interest in music to his mother and what he had learned spending some time at her club when he was a child.

YC110-112: Internship Aboard Fleet Vessels / Discovery of Capsuleer Neurology

After his years of education, Zachary opted to spend two years with the Federation Navy patrolling the Deltole region to both protect the investments of the Federation within the region, secure the Yan Jung ruins and relics from pirate control, and to (ideally) repel the pirate corporations from the system. His father and mother did not necessarily agree with this course of action, but he continued on this path for 2 years.

During the initial medical examination that Zachary was required to undergo to crew one of the fleet vessels, it was discovered that Zachary's neurology was amenable to the capsuleer implants. While the intrigue of space and other political empires intrigued him, Zachary opted to stay local with the fleet. Reason is unknown, but it is suspected that this was to attempt to repair his relationship with his father and mother after what was a sudden enlistment.

Zachary learned much from dealing with the pirates aboard the Navy Dominix Caltruuse, but the intrigue of the capsuleer life, along with the numerous failed attempts to convince his family of his ability to live independently from them, led Zachary to change his life forever.

He returned to the University of Caille on 112.3.31 for the procedure of implanting the capsuleer interface. He was familiarized with the system for approximately a month and a half.

Capsuleer History

YC112.5.30-112: Beginnings of the Work Study

Whilst a true Federationist at heart, Zachary, after becoming a capsuleer, opted to take part in a work-study program focused around the Amarrian Empire. The University of Caille arranged this fairly quickly, and a contact by the name of Fadun accepted Zachary as his pupil.

Fadun sent for Zachary's things and, after a slightly tense good-bye from his father and a worried one from his mother, began his expedition to the Gamis sector of Ammatar space to join Fadun in NOVA PRODUCTIONS RESEARCH DIVISION. The Amarrian taught Zachary not of Amarrian religion or zeal, but proper industry within the means of capsuleer space as well as how to defend oneself optimally using the capsuleer interface.

The Amarrian preached only of one thing at this time; cooperation with friends and business associates to the betterment of everyone. Zachary would take this to heart. The corporation would grow, and 4 core members would be established.

The corporation dissolved due to a security leak in YC112 that threatened the freedoms of everyone within the corporation; slavery to a larger entity within capsuleer space seemed likely. This was anethema to all members of the corporation, be them Matari, Gallente, or Amarrian. Fadun opted to move the corporation to Amarrian Empire space, leaving the Ammatar region solely for security purposes, to continue the work-study program and the general well-being of his corporation.

YC112.8.30-113.7.15: Xim-Retni / Fadun's Reign

A corporation developed around the mutual well-being of it's members, despite nationalities, was created by Fadun under the name of the Xim-Retni corporation. The corporation functioned under the industrial head of it's leader, while Zachary Dellinger took a more diplomatic and security-based role. Zachary Dellinger worked mainly with the local Chemal Tech corporation and kept in contact with his parents via the Gallentean radio systems in station.

The corporation has prospered, and information relative to said corporation can be found in another database.

After some time, however, Fadun announced the end of his work-study with Zachary Dellinger and opted to join the Ammarian militia. Mr. Dellinger was, to his own surprise, given the title of the Chief Executive Officer of the Xim-Retni corporation.

YC113.7.15-Present: Xim-Retni
